NEWS UPDATES:

MIDLANDS MCM EXPO
Anime/Manga

Sweatdrop studios are happy to confirm their attendance at the Midlands MCM Expo.
Several of the group's members will be on hand at the event to offer advice, demonstrate techniques and of course attempt to force you to buy some of their own, home-grown Manga comics and books.

They will of course also be presiding over the Expo ‘Manga Alley’. What Expo would be complete without a special place where you can take the weight off your feet and join in with the creative bustle that is ‘Manga Alley’? Come and bring out the creative genius within yourself and, if you're feeling adventurous, why not enter the Manga art competition?

PREVIOUS MANGA WINNERS

Sweatdrop are happy to say that their sponsors will be following them from London to Telford and will be ready and willing to dish out some fantastic manga goodies to the lucky winners of the competition. So you can expect to see prizes from the likes of Letraset and e-frontier up for grabs.

As with last October’s London Expo, the categories for Telford are as follows:

16 and Over - Best Pre-Made Piece
16 and Over - Best Artist Alley Piece

Under 16 - Best Pre-Made Piece
Under 16 - Best Artist Alley Piece

Remember to bring a piece from home if you want to enter the pre-made categories. If however, you want to create something at the event (which we hope you do!), then you will need to either use the Manga alley paper provided, or just ask a member of Sweatdrop to stamp your own paper and you're ready to roll.

This has been introduced so that the poor judges can ensure that they know which pieces were created where.

NOTE: If an alley-made entry does NOT have the ‘Manga Alley’ stamp/mark on it, we’re afraid it will not be judged, so please be sure you use the pre-prepared paper or get your paper stamped!

Be sure to head to www.sweatdrop.com/forum should you have any questions about the competition or Sweatdrop's involvement with Midlands MCM Expo.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Happy drawing! ^_^
